Our Warwick Chess in Schools Outreach programme has been running since 2016, going into local schools and academies, to support chess clubs, and teach chess to young people.
Bringing chess into schools, is a very rewarding aspect of our society, and is a real way for us to give back to the local community. Usually, our sessions run from 12-1, every Friday, and we book the taxis for our volunteers!
Furthermore, the completion of enough hours is officially recognised by the University, and noted in your transcript when you graduate.
Our work is kindly supported by Warwick Volunteers, alongside the Coventry & District Chess League.
