Chess in Schools

  • Our Warwick Chess in Schools Outreach programme has been running since 2016, going into local schools and academies, to support chess clubs, and teach chess to young people.
  • Bringing chess into schools, is a very rewarding aspect of our society, and is a real way for us to give back to the local community. Usually, our sessions run from 12-1, every Friday, and we book the taxis for our volunteers!
  • Furthermore, the completion of enough hours is officially recognised by the University, and noted in your transcript when you graduate.
  • Our work is kindly supported by Warwick Volunteers, alongside the Coventry & District Chess League.
